spearing
Stabbing with pole
Spearing is the act of stabbing or piercing with a spear or spear-like object: spearing fish in the shallows.
In ice hockey and football, spearing is an illegal move—jabbing an opponent with the stick or helmet.
The word also describes any forceful thrust: He kept spearing forkfuls of pasta into his mouth.
