netting
Fabric with holes
Netting is mesh fabric or material made of interlaced threads, cords, or wires with regular open spaces between them.
It serves purposes from catching fish to protecting gardens to decorating events: mosquito netting over the bed, cargo netting on the truck.
Netting also names the act of catching something in a net, or in sports, hitting the ball into the net.
