Stick above shoulders
High-sticking is a penalty in hockey for carrying the stick above shoulder height in a way that contacts or endangers another player.
The call results in a minor penalty, or a double minor if blood is drawn: He went to the box for high-sticking.
The term extends to any illegal stick contact with an opponent's head or face.
