ski cross

Competitive slope racing

Ski cross is a competitive skiing event where multiple racers—typically four—descend a course simultaneously, navigating jumps, banked turns, and other obstacles.

Unlike traditional alpine racing against the clock, ski cross emphasizes direct competition and contact, making it one of the more chaotic and spectator-friendly winter sports.

It became an Olympic event in 2010.
