Suspended ski transport
A chairlift is a series of chairs suspended from a moving cable, used to transport people up a slope—typically skiers and snowboarders at mountain resorts.
Passengers sit on open-air seats that travel continuously in a loop: We rode the chairlift to the summit.
Similar systems appear at scenic attractions and amusement parks.
