sepak takraw

Rattan ball sport

Sepak takraw is a Southeast Asian sport in which players use their feet, knees, chest, and head—but not their hands—to volley a rattan ball over a net.

Sometimes called kick volleyball, the game demands extraordinary acrobatics, with players performing bicycle kicks and spinning strikes to spike the ball: The sepak takraw match drew crowds across Thailand and Malaysia.
