muscle imbalance
Uneven muscular development
Muscle imbalance is a condition where opposing muscle groups differ significantly in strength or flexibility.
One side may be overdeveloped while the other is weak or tight, often from repetitive movements, poor posture, or uneven training: The physical therapist identified a muscle imbalance in my hips.
Left uncorrected, imbalances can cause pain, poor movement patterns, and increased injury risk.
