curacy
Junior clergy position
A curacy is the position or office of a curate—a member of the clergy who assists a parish priest or vicar.
The term also refers to the period during which someone serves in this role: He spent his curacy in a small village church.
By extension, curacy can mean the district or area under a curate's care.
