churchwarden
Lay parish administrator
A churchwarden is a lay official in Anglican and some other churches, responsible for maintaining church property and assisting with administrative duties.
The term also refers to a long-stemmed clay tobacco pipe, supposedly favored by churchwardens during their meetings: He lit his churchwarden and settled into the armchair.
