radio drama
Heard, not seen
Radio drama is a form of storytelling performed entirely through audio—dialogue, sound effects, and music—without visual elements.
Popular before television, it required listeners to imagine scenes from sound alone.
The genre survives in podcasts and audio fiction: We listened to old radio dramas on the long drive.
