thermal pane
Heat-retaining window glass
A thermal pane is a window unit made of two or more glass sheets separated by an insulating air space, designed to reduce heat transfer.
The sealed gap—sometimes filled with inert gas—keeps warmth in during winter and out during summer: We replaced the old single-glazed windows with thermal panes.
Also called double-pane or insulated glass.
