Silicone caulk is a flexible, waterproof sealant used to fill gaps and joints around bathtubs, sinks, windows, and other surfaces where water resistance matters.
Unlike acrylic caulk, silicone stays flexible after curing and won't crack with temperature changes, but it can't be painted over: The silicone caulk around the shower finally needs replacing.
