double pane
Two-layer window glass
Double pane describes windows or glass units made of two parallel sheets with an insulating space between them.
The gap—filled with air or inert gas—reduces heat transfer and noise: We replaced the old single-pane windows with double pane.
Also called double-glazed, especially in British English.
