Pumpkin seeds are the edible seeds found inside a pumpkin, typically roasted and salted as a snack.
They have a flat, oval shape with a chewy texture and nutty flavor.
In Mexican cuisine, they're called pepitas and appear in mole and other dishes.
We roasted the pumpkin seeds after carving jack-o'-lanterns.
