handful
Palmful of something
A handful is the amount that fits in one hand, but the word is almost always used loosely to mean a small quantity or number: Only a handful of people showed up.
When someone, especially a child, is described as a handful, they are difficult to manage or control—more than one can handle, as it were.
The twins are a real handful.
