hulled

Stripped of covering

Hulled describes seeds, grains, or nuts that have had their outer covering removed.

Hulled strawberries have had their green caps taken off; hulled barley has been stripped of its tough husk.

Confusingly, hulled can also mean having a hull—a hulled ship is one with a hull, not one without.
