pronation
Forearm turning inward
Pronation is the inward rotation of a limb or body part.
The term appears most often in discussions of how the foot rolls inward when walking or running: runners with excessive pronation need supportive shoes.
In the forearm, pronation turns the palm downward or backward.
The opposite movement is supination.
