footbed
Where foot rests
The footbed is the interior surface of a shoe or sandal where the foot rests.
It may be flat or contoured to support the arch: These sandals have a molded cork footbed.
Footbeds can be built into the shoe or added as removable inserts for comfort or orthopedic support.
