afterword

Book's closing section

An afterword is a section at the end of a book, typically written by someone other than the author, offering commentary, context, or reflection on the work.

Unlike a preface or foreword, which prepares the reader, an afterword assumes the book has been read: The afterword discusses how the novel was received when first published.
