P.S.

Below the signature

P.S. stands for postscript, from Latin post scriptum meaning "after what has been written." It introduces an addition at the end of a letter or message, typically something the writer forgot or wants to emphasize: P.S. Don't forget to call your mother.

In digital communication, P.S. often adds a final thought to emails or social media posts, sometimes strategically rather than as a genuine afterthought. (Lowercase p.s. is an informal variant.)
