picketer

Strike line walker

A picketer is someone who participates in a picket—standing or walking outside a workplace, business, or other location to protest or discourage others from entering.

Picketers typically carry signs and may chant slogans: Picketers blocked the entrance to the factory.

The term appears most often in labor disputes, where striking workers form picket lines.
