pedalling
Powering a bicycle
Pedalling is the act of operating pedals, especially on a bicycle or other pedal-powered vehicle: She was pedalling hard up the hill.
The term also applies to using foot pedals on a piano or organ to control sustain or volume.
Figuratively, to keep pedalling is to persist through difficulty.
British spelling; Americans write pedaling.
