Bonking has two distinct meanings.
In British slang, it means having sex—a playful, slightly vulgar term: They were bonking in the back seat.
In endurance sports, bonking means hitting the wall—sudden exhaustion when glycogen stores deplete: I bonked at mile twenty and had to walk.
The verb also means to hit something with a hollow sound: She bonked him on the head with a rolled-up newspaper.
