Compressed wood sheets
Particle board is an engineered wood product made from wood chips, shavings, or sawdust compressed and bonded with resin.
Cheaper and weaker than solid wood or plywood, it's commonly used for budget furniture, shelving, and subflooring.
It doesn't hold screws well and swells when exposed to moisture.
Also called chipboard.
