packaging
Boxes and wrapping
Packaging is the materials and containers used to wrap, protect, and present products—boxes, bottles, bags, and their labels.
It extends to how something is presented to make it appealing: The candidate's packaging was slick, but voters saw through it.
The term covers both the physical wrapping and the marketing strategy behind it.
