oxy-acetylene

Torch gas mixture

Oxy-acetylene describes a process that combines oxygen and acetylene gas to produce an extremely hot flame, used for cutting and welding metal: an oxy-acetylene torch, oxy-acetylene welding.

The flame can reach temperatures above 3,000°C, hot enough to melt steel.
