gas welding
Torch-fused metal work
Gas welding is a process that joins metal pieces by melting them together using a flame from burning gases, typically oxygen mixed with acetylene or another fuel.
The welder directs the flame at the joint while feeding in a filler rod that melts into the seam.
Gas welding is portable and versatile but has largely been displaced by electric arc welding for industrial applications.
