nurse shark

Sluggish reef predator

A nurse shark is a sluggish, bottom-dwelling shark found in warm Atlantic and eastern Pacific waters.

Unlike more aggressive species, nurse sharks are docile and pose little threat to humans, often resting motionless on the seafloor during the day.

They grow up to about fourteen feet and feed on small fish, crustaceans, and mollusks.
