nurser

One who suckles

A nurser is someone or something that nurses.

Most commonly it refers to a baby animal that is still nursing from its mother: The litter included eight nursers, all healthy.

It can also mean a person who nurses, whether a breastfeeding mother or someone who tends the sick, though these uses are uncommon compared to nurse itself.
