non-vegetarian

Eats animal flesh

Non-vegetarian describes food containing meat, poultry, or fish, or a person who eats such food.

The term is more common in South Asian English, where vegetarianism is widespread enough that meat-eaters are the marked category: The restaurant has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Elsewhere, the unmarked term is simply "meat-eater."
