Eyes-only face covering
A niqab is a face-covering veil worn by some Muslim women, leaving only the eyes visible.
It differs from the hijab, which covers only the hair and neck, and from the burqa, which covers the entire face including the eyes behind mesh.
The niqab is most common in Gulf states and among conservative communities: She lifted her niqab to eat.
