mono-skis

One-board snow descent

Mono-skis are wide single skis designed to accommodate both feet side by side, used primarily by adaptive skiers with lower-body disabilities.

The skier sits in a molded seat mounted atop the ski and uses outriggers—short poles with ski tips—for balance and steering.

Mono-skis allow people with spinal cord injuries, amputations, or other conditions to navigate ski slopes independently.
