mixing desk
Sound level adjuster
A mixing desk is a piece of audio equipment used to combine, balance, and adjust multiple sound signals.
Also called a mixing console, mixer, or soundboard, it allows engineers to control volume levels, equalization, and effects for each input channel before blending them into a final output.
Mixing desks range from small units with a handful of channels to massive professional consoles found in recording studios and concert venues.
The sound engineer adjusted levels at the mixing desk throughout the performance.
