Vertical worker transport
A manlift is a mechanical device for moving workers vertically between floors or levels.
Unlike elevators, manlifts typically feature an open platform or a series of steps on a continuous belt that workers step onto and ride.
Industrial facilities use them for quick vertical transport: Take the manlift up to the third level.
The term also applies to aerial work platforms that lift a single operator to height.
