macrobrew

Big brewery output

Macrobrew refers to beer produced by large-scale commercial breweries, as opposed to craft beer from smaller operations.

The term usually carries a slightly dismissive connotation among beer enthusiasts: I'll drink a macrobrew at a barbecue, but I prefer local craft stuff.

Budweiser, Coors, and Miller are archetypal macrobrews.
