lithium-ion battery
Rechargeable device energy
A lithium-ion battery is a rechargeable battery that moves lithium ions between electrodes to store and release energy.
These batteries power most modern portable electronics—phones, laptops, electric vehicles—because they hold more charge per weight than older battery types and don't develop memory effects from partial charging.
My phone's lithium-ion battery needs replacing.
