solar panel
Rooftop energy collector
A solar panel is a flat device that converts sunlight into electricity, typically installed on rooftops or in large arrays on open land.
Multiple photovoltaic cells within the panel absorb light and generate direct current, which is then converted for household or grid use.
We installed solar panels to reduce our electric bill.
Solar panels have become increasingly common as renewable energy technology has improved and costs have dropped.
