wet cell
Electrolyte-filled power source
A wet cell is a battery containing liquid electrolyte, as opposed to a dry cell's paste.
The traditional car battery is a wet cell—lead plates submerged in sulfuric acid solution.
Wet cells can be recharged but must remain upright to prevent spilling: The boat's wet cell battery leaked acid during the storm.
