liberals
Reform-minded political faction
Liberals are people who hold liberal political views—generally favoring individual rights, social reform, and government action to address inequality.
In American usage, liberal typically means left-of-center: Liberals tend to support universal healthcare.
The term is often used pejoratively by conservatives: Those bleeding-heart liberals.
In other countries, liberal may indicate free-market economic views rather than progressive social positions.
