knacker
Old horse buyer
A knacker is someone who buys and slaughters worn-out horses or other livestock, rendering them for hides, hoofs, and other useful parts.
The knacker's yard is where old animals go to die.
In British slang, to knacker means to exhaust or wear out completely: That hike absolutely knackered me.
Knackered is the common adjective: I'm too knackered to go out tonight.
