Berliner
Filled pastry type
A Berliner is a person from Berlin, Germany's capital city.
The term gained historical resonance from John F.
Kennedy's 1963 speech in West Berlin, where he declared Ich bin ein Berliner to express solidarity with the city's residents during the Cold War. (Lowercase berliner is a type of filled doughnut.)
