high-side
Bike flips rider
High-side refers to the positive voltage rail in an electrical circuit, as opposed to the low-side or ground.
A high-side switch or driver controls current flow from the power source: high-side current sensing, high-side FET driver.
In motorcycling, to high-side is to be thrown over the handlebars when the rear wheel suddenly regains traction after a skid—the bike flips the rider over its high side.
