Premier bike championship
MotoGP is the premier class of motorcycle road racing, the two-wheeled equivalent of Formula One.
Races feature purpose-built prototypes reaching speeds over 350 km/h.
The term refers both to the top category and the championship series overall: Márquez dominated MotoGP for years.
Lower classes (Moto2, Moto3) serve as feeder series.
