lay-down
Guaranteed winning hand
A lay-down is something easily accomplished or a sure thing: The case was a lay-down—we had all the evidence we needed.
In card games, particularly bridge, a lay-down hand is one so strong it can be played face-up and still win.
The term suggests minimal effort required for success.
