accident
Harm by chance
An accident is an unplanned event, typically one that causes harm or damage: a car accident, an industrial accident.
The word implies lack of intent—if you do something by accident, you didn't mean to.
An accident can also be a fortunate coincidence: a happy accident.
Calling a child an accident suggests the pregnancy was unplanned.
