hi-res

Pixel-dense, informally speaking

Hi-res is short for high-resolution, describing images, video, or audio with fine detail and clarity.

The term emerged with digital media, where resolution determines quality: The photographer only shoots in hi-res.

It contrasts with lo-res (low-resolution), which appears pixelated or muddy.

Sometimes hyphenated, sometimes not.
