low-res

Not sharply defined

Low-res, short for low-resolution, describes images, video, or displays with relatively few pixels, resulting in less detail and clarity.

The term emerged with digital imaging and is now used broadly for anything that appears grainy, blocky, or lacking sharpness.

The security footage was so low-res you couldn't identify anyone.

Figuratively, low-res can describe something vague or poorly defined: I have a low-res memory of that night.
