Bigger than standard
Large-format describes something bigger than standard size, particularly in photography and printing.
A large-format camera uses sheet film significantly larger than 35mm, typically 4x5 inches or bigger, prized for exceptional detail and tonal range.
In printing, large-format refers to wide-format printers and their output—banners, posters, architectural plans.
