gobos

Studio light blockers

Gobos is the plural of gobo, a screen or shield used in film, photography, and theater to block or shape light.

A gobo placed between a light source and the subject creates shadows or controls spill.

In recording studios, gobos are portable sound-absorbing panels used to isolate instruments or vocals: Set up gobos around the drum kit to reduce bleed into the vocal mic.
