glioblastomas
Aggressive brain tumors
Glioblastomas is the plural of glioblastoma, an aggressive and typically fatal brain cancer.
These tumors arise from glial cells—the supportive tissue of the brain—and grow rapidly, infiltrating surrounding tissue in ways that make complete surgical removal nearly impossible.
The scan revealed multiple glioblastomas.
Median survival after diagnosis is around fifteen months.
